DRESS, child's, 1880's

CH1982.137

Pale blue dress with cuirasse style bodice (dropped waistline), short puff sleeves, with tight lining. High neckline. Full bodice shirred into neckline, gathered into waist. Back fastening with mother-of-pearl buttons and hook at top. Neck and sleeves trimmed with white cotton machine-made lace. Skirt gathered onto waistband. Two pleated flounces. Wide band at waist. Machine sewn.
