COLLAR

H1996.193

White, starched, cotton collar. It is folded over (and folded again in the opposite direction when stored). On one side at both ends it is curved upwards and is rounded around the tip. There is a button hole at each end. On the other side (which overlaps the first side - inner side). The collar curves downwards with a straight edge and finishes at a point on both sides. In the middle of collar on inner side is a button hole. On the right inner side in black print it says 'LAUNDRY [underlined]/ FOR BEST RESULT DIP/ IN THIN COOKED STARCH', on left it says 'FITWELL/ 16½' which would indicate size. It is covered by clear wrapping paper which says in black 'SEMI-STIFF COLLAR [underlined]/ Wash this COLLAR at home/ and save the price of one collar every week.' The size is also printed at one end of wrapper.
