Former Kalgoorlie Mining Associates property. These boxes were received with the large assortment of mining items, and they contained an assortment of unrelated items. These items were removed by me and destroyed or accessioned separately. a. Green and cream painted wooden box, door opens to reveal two shelves of equal capacity. Latch at RHS allows for padlock to be fitted [none is present]. "CHAFF" [Chaffers] has been crudely painted on in white paint on front panel, also remnants of red sticker on the top edge. There was a paper label above "CHAFF" which is mostly gone and illegible. b. Yellow painted box - appears to be packing case wood. There are remnants of hessian or fabric under nails on rim suggesting box was once lined. There is a 1945 newspaper lining bottom.
