Contains: 15 calico slings * 10 sealed plastic packets containing small dressing and "Preliminary Accident Report" sheets Large ball of wool? or natural fibre Roll of cotton wool * 2 First Aid dressings, one sealed, one opened. 3 large dressing of gauze - yellow & white gauze, yellow gauze is pad for wound site Pair of scissors marks "CHAMPION / SCISSORS / SHEFFIELD" Bottle of antiseptic with label "POISON / EXTERNAL USE / ONLY / ANTISEPTIC / SOLUTION / FIRST AID / Bancroft Mines Ltd. / Bancroft". Label has been sticky taped on. 7 straight pine splints, 4 of which have metal plating at one end 2 pieces of dowling in special aperture in box's lid 2 masonite ankle splints in special aperture in box's lid The box itself is painted white, has bolts at lid, handle and two leather straps which seem to be for carrying rather than security purposes as the leather does not have holes to fit the belt tightly to the box. On the front rim on the case is handwritten in texta "P.A.R. ODD - WESTERN MINING - KAMBALDA - W.A." There a 2 paper stickers on front "E.A. ODD / P & O" " AUSTRALIAN CUSTOMS / 716 / PASSED". There is a copper cross on top left corner of lid, and copper plaque on bottom right which reads " Presented to / Proficiency Medallist / P.A.R. Odd / By Bancroft Mines Ltd / Zambia" It appears that E.A. Odd brought P.A.R. Odd's presentation kit from Zambia when he emigrated.
