This tuba-like instrument in the key of B flat was made by Boosey and Hawkes of London. It is their 'Imperial' grade, the finest quality they made. The maker's details are engraved on the exterior of the mouth of the instrument. This instrument is made from hand drawn brass, silver plated. It fits snugly into a shaped leather carry case. Inside the lid of the carry case is a pouch with a flap cover. This is to carry the mouthpiece of the instrument. Ray Larner, Music Director, WA Bands Assoc., ph: 457 1858 assisted in identification of instruments.
