Brass cornet in B flat. Made in France by "Antoine Courtois". Heavily engraved with maker's details and acclamations of quality on the outside of the bell mouth. For provenance details see attached memo. H89.166 b, a collapsible leather cornet carry case with metal fittings. The exterior of the case is black lacquered leather. The interior is yellow leather, possibly kid. Ray Larner, Music Director, WA Bands Assoc., ph: 457 1858 assisted in identification of instruments.
