Silver plated brass cornet in B flat by Boosey and Hawkes of London. This is one of their famous "Imperial" grade. Maker's details are engraved on the exterior of the mouth of the instrument including the initials F.V.A. for Full Value Action. The wooden carry box H89.165 b, is painted black with some brass and some plated steel fittings. The box is lined with red velvet. Mr Ray Larner believes that the box is non-standard and possibly of local Albany manufacture. Ray Larner, Music Director, WA Bands Assoc., ph: 457 1858 assisted in identification of instruments.
