H1989.170
Brass bass in E flat made by Hawkes and Son of London. The brand name, maker's details and serial number of the instrument are engraved into the top of the exterior of the flared bell mouth of the instrument. This instrument is often referred to as a bass tuba. Ray Larner, Music Director, WA Bands Assoc., ph: 457 1858 assisted in identification of instruments.
