Pair of black Derby boots; round toe with punched decoration; punched decoration also around back; medium height, thickly stacked leather heel; lace-up with 18 pairs of eyelets; original laces; lined with white cotton twill; stamped on sole 'RELIABLE FOOTWEAR' plus illegible marks; stamped inside '3698'.

Information supplied by June Swann, world authority on historic shoes visiting from UK, during her inspection of shoe collection 18th October 1993.
Boots - 1910 at the earliest - less pointed toes, rather pointed cap puts it at 1910-20. Not worn much.
