Fine black silk. Long sleeves, high neck, open at back fastening with eight brass hooks in upper half and four mother of pearl buttons in lower half. Section of machined applique lace across shoulders at front and back and extending inband down centre front; collar and cuffs also of lace. Silk shirred where attached to lace at front and back and bordered with a strip of ruched silk. Sleeves fairly full, gathered at shoulders and cuffs. Cuffs long and fasten with three pearl buttons. Narrow strip of velvet at top of collar. Part hand, part m/c sewn.
