a. Cup. Greenish glaze. Footed with gold band at base. Gilded pattern around body. Scalloped edge, gilded. Moulded relief at edge, with pattern pick out in gilding. Light green band at edge, with gilded pattern. Ring handle, relief moulded with gilding . Pattern number "8019". b. Saucer. Matches a. Sa pattern number. Nairn number C \ 8. Nairn thought Coalport, but pattern number too high for Coalport. Also too high for Davenport, and wrong form for Ridgway, although bo of these factories made similar wares. Ref. Godden, British Porcelain, page 15 192. May be Alcock. Very similar to illustration in ibid., page 36.
