I am so proud and grateful to be a West Australian. I love the amazing beauty and diversity of the natural environment and have travelled the state extensively. As an activist there is a never ending source of inspiration from WA's amazing flora and fauna. Karen Lee
Fantastic climate, people friendly. Freedom of travel, great health services. Just everything really. Brett
The freedom, the lifestyle, the kindness of fellow Australians. We emigrated in 1974, we so wish we had come much earlier. Brenda
I am proud to be a Western Australian because I have lived most of my life here since marrying a Western Australian. My children are all proud west aussies too. I like the climate (most of the time), the wide open spaces, the people, the culture and the opportunities that are available to all. Jennifer
That we live in a great country with so much freedom to live and explore, and be part of a community which has so much to offer, now and always. Dianne Elizabeth
It's a wonderful state, has given our family so much opportunity. Safe to raise children. Perfect climate and huge diversity. Bronwyn
The beautiful sun, glorious weather, fantastic beaches and of course, the community that makes Western Australia. I am proud to be the Western Australian Young Australian of the Year 2015 Drisana
We have lived in Perth and several country towns and back to Perth again. I have worked throughout the south east of WA and drove a tractor from Nungarin to Mullewa, a distance of over 500kms through rural properties and rough back roads of WA. The country-side is vast and varied ranging from tall Karri trees in the South to Saltlakes in the East and plains of small shrubs, and rocky cliffs along the coastline reaching North through National Parks. The wild life is just as varied, from tiny field mice and Blue Wrens to Kangaroos and Emus. I am proud to be a part of this great State. GLENN KENNETH
I am proud to be Western Australian, as we have the best beaches in the world. We have adapted into the Multi-cultured/ diversity society so much in the last 5 years than ever before. The communities all come together when there is a crisis at hand. We are a caring state. I am proud to be living amongst all this. I am born and bred here in Perth, as are my children, and there isn't anywhere else I would want to be. Helen
We are a society that welcomes newcomers, isn't afraid to be different (e.g. daylight saving, pokies, fuel watch) and has a great climate. Peter
I love the beauty and wide open spaces of the southwest where I grew up. I feel blessed that my son will grow up in such a wonderful place. Genovieve and Artemis
Despite being quite isolated from the rest of Australia, we battle on and make the most of everything and enjoy life. Larissa
