Above and Below the Waves

Activities daily between 10.00am and 4.30pm

In the Discovery Centre, hands on activities include marvelous mollusk mania, experiments with ballast, balance and buoyancy, a challenging Surf T-Shirt design competition with great prizes, a hang ten challenge, predator prowl and many, many more.

Ages: All ages – families welcome
Cost: Entry by donation (some activities incur a small cost for materials.

Museum at the Beach Days

Join museum staff on local beaches for beachcombing and some scorching sand sculpture adventures!

Watch out for the museum team as they take their programs to hot spots along the South Coast. They will be at:

CARING FOR BOODJA – BUSH FOOD / TOOL MAKING
Children can join museum staff for great views of Walpole and also learn some bush activities in Caring for Boodja - Bush Food / Tool making.

WE DIG DINOSAURS
Children will able to graduate as junior palaeontologists after they dig, chisel and discover hidden fossils in the fun activity, We Dig Dinosaurs.

MINIMUSE – YOUERN THE SHINGLEBACK LIZARD
Minimuse is a fun program that introduces young children to the wonderful fauna of WA. Through the use of song, dance and indigenous stories, children will enjoy learning about the interesting life of Youern the Shingleback Lizard.

Venue: Discovery Bay’s Whale World, Frenchman’s Bay Road, Albany.
Dates: Thursday 5th January and Monday 23rd January 2012
