The History of Migration Experiences (HOME) Centre at Curtin University in conjunction with the Western Australian Museum are pleased to launch a new program of Sunday afternoons events in Fremantle at the Maritime Museum. These bi-monthly events feature a series of interviews with prominent migrants who ‘came by sea’ to live in Western Australia.

This series will explore the lives of well-known migrant families from Western Australia, as renowned interviewer Verity James talks with key individuals about their personal and  family experiences of migration and resettlement. Listen to the details of challenges and opportunities our guests encountered along their path to success. Share in the roller-coaster of emotional experiences as Verity delves into the memories of these interviewees, as we invite you to come and meet them, hear their stories and participate with your questions.

Join us for the first event in the series as Verity talks to two special guests: former West Australian Governor Ken Michael and his wife Julie Michael.

Cost: Free public event
