School Holidays

Discover the long and entertaining history of playing games. Come and join us at the Museum to play a wide variety of games all day long and get involved in the special activities to hand craft your own items of amusement and fun. There will be no excuses for boredom these holidays.

 

LET’S GO MAKE A KITE!
3, 5, 7, 11 and 13 October 2011
Activities commence 10.30am

Come to the Museum and fashion your own colourful kite out of household items and your own personal flair for design. Marvel as your creation takes flight, however, be careful not to let go of the string, you won’t want to lose it!

AGES: All ages, 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult
COST: $5.00 per child
DURATION: 1 ½ hours

 

BOWL DOWN THEM SKITTLES!
4, 6, 10, 12, and 14 October 2011
Activities commence 10.30am

You will definitely be kept entertained during the holidays if you come along and create your own game of skittles. Learn how to make and play the game that was entertaining Egyptian kids as far back as 5000 years ago. Decorate your skittles so they stand out from the crowd and challenge your friends to a game. Feel free to BYO soft drink bottles to add you your set.

AGES: All ages, 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult
