The Valdura was one of a fleet of Swan River ferries built by Harry Sutton, Jack Olsen, Thomas Hill and Lawrence and Sons for Jack Olsen. Olsen’s Scandinavian heritage is reflected in the naming of his fleet of Val boats including: Valhalla, Valkyrie, Valdavia, Valthora, Valdana, Valdemar, Valdura.
