DRESS, Jacket and Skirt

Day dress, jacket and skirt. Brown silk with woven floral pattern in mauve.
Jacket: Open V neck, trimmed with pleated mauve ribbon. Would have been worn with chemisette. V shape repeated in trimming of piped "wings" edged with pinked and scalloped woven frill (brown and mauve to match skirt flounce). Extend over shoulder. Fastens at waist. Shaped to V at waist but extends over hips with scalloped frill and basques. Front shaped with long boned dart on either side of opening. Side seams boned. Watch pocket at waist left hand side. Back cut in 3 sections. Sleeves fitted at top, with 2 sections of rouching trimmed with mauve ribbon and opening wide at elbow. Pinked scalloped edge. Lined with silk and cotton. Waistband sewn into lining. Tape loop in lining left hand side.
Skirt: V shaped waist band. Fabric set into band in flat pleatsall round. Pinked and scalloped flounces woven a disposition in mauve floral pattern matching frills on bodice. Pocket in right hand side. Back fastening with 2 hooks. Lined with white cotton and stiffened muslin above hem. All hand sewn.
