DANCE COSTUME, green skirt and gold sequinned top with 2 x armlets and matching headpiece
[.1] DRESS. Front bodice has capped sleeves and dropped waist, completely covered with gold sequins and decorated with pink, net flounces and fabric pink and green flowers.The skirt has two layers of green, taffeta frills decorated with four over panels, covered in gold sequins and fringed with pink and gold net. Fabric flowers in pink and green and sequined pink and aqua flowers decorate the skirt. The dress is sewn onto a calico base and stiffening fabric under the sleeves and skirt. The back of the dress is backless excepting for a single strip, covered with gold sequins which runs from the neck to the skirt. A large taffeta, green bow sits on the base. A series of hooks and eyes and press studs closes the skirt down the back. A knotted, narrow, metal gold belt tied in knots in the front, encicles the waist. (D.ASHTON) is handwritten in ink on the calico of the inside of bodice at the hip line.
[.2 & .3] ARMLETS x 2. Cuffs covered in gold sequins on a broad, stiffened base with a narrow wrist opening and a pointed extention the other end. A gold fringe is sewn along the side opening and is closed with stitches
[.4] HEADPIECE. Tiara shaped headpiece, constructed from wire and covered with pink net, is lavishly decorated with gold sequins some of which are striated. Three fabric, pink and green flowers further decorate the headpiece which has white, hat elastic attached at the jaw line, ending with a hook and eye.
