DOLL, Boudoir, French

1920s ‘Boudoir doll’, fabric, painted face and neck with moulded features, brown eyes with thick fabric upper eyelashes, pink mouth. Yellow hair. Hands and shaped legs terminating in gold high heeled shoes (painted) are ceramic. The body and upper arms and legs are stuffed calico. The yellow/gold silk dress is 1920's style with a scooped and frilled neck, long sleeves, a dropped waist and three quarter length, flared skirt which is supported by a stiffened petticoat A bonnet of straw has a matching frill around the face.
