Doll: Motschmann type body. This doll has a wax-over-composition with sleeping pupilless glass eye with waxed eyelids; moulded hair; eyelashes; nostrils; line through lips and headband all painted over the wax; cheeks, lips and hair painted under the wax; wax extends over composition shoulders and chest; dark brown section indicating bust line. Composition pelvic area, hands and feet; floating joints. Limbs are wood and cloth stuffed with wool. Pink paint on hands, arms, feet and legs. Upper torso contains a squeak box, which is activated by pushing the upper and lower sections of the body together.

Costume: Chemise - white cotton, low neck, elbow length sleees. Length just below knee. Sleeves and neck trimmed with lace. Flat seams.
Petticoat - white cotton, gathered onto wide waistband. Open at back, fastening with one button. Large tuck 3/4 way down. White rickrack on hem. Flat seam.
Dress- Blue grey wool with green intermittent spots. Low neck, short puffed sleeves with lace trim. Open at back fastening with two hooks and eyes. Bodice lined with cotton and skirt with stiffened cotton gauze. Skirt gathered onto bodie in box pleats - 4 on each side at front and two on each side at back. Bodice front pleated at top and gathered into 'V' at waist. Wide band of green torchon lace at hem, and also at neck giving a shawl effect. Band of green silk ribbon at waist tied in a bow at back. All costume hand sewn. Hair net - hand made brown cotton net.
