Circular badge with gilt finish laurel wreath around outside, inner green enamel border with text 'W.A. GOVERNMENT RAILWAYS'. Text encircles green and white enamel train motif with gilt detailing. Circular badge is surmounted by gilt and red enamel crown, curved green enamel border at base reads 'SAFETY & SERVICE'. Reverse: Remains of sticky tape or ripped paper adhered to back, no fixing.
