Rectangle badge with gold gilt finish rim and enamel. Cream enamel background with dark blue enamel hopping kangaroo motif, dark blue enamel triangle motif in top right quarter with green and yellow enamel lines underneath base of triangle. Text 'AUSTRALIAN' in gold gilt along bottom of badge. Crack in enamel from bottom left side which stops two-thirds across to the right. Circular hole in top centre edged in gold gilt finish as jump finish. Reverse: gold gilt finish, text 'AUSTRALIAN AIRLINES/ LAUNCH 4TH AUGUST/ 1986' and 'SHERIDAN/ PERTH' in small text at bottom, no fixing.
