Flat, circular, 9 carat gold medal with raised, blue, cog shape with ‘AUSTRALASIAN SOCIETY OF ENGINEERS’ marked in gold around edge. Gold kangaroo standing on grass carved in relief in centre. ‘ADVANCE AUSTRALIA’ in raised letters around kangaroo. ‘Presented/to/G.McKENZIE/President/Mid. Jet. Branch/1914-1915’ engraved on back. ‘9CT’ and ‘AMOR’ stamped at bottom of back. Two gold curled scrolls attached to top, through which a fob chain with rectangular links is attached.
