Medal in box.
[.1] Round, flat, gold coloured medal. Raised bust of man on obverse. ‘THOMAS ANDREW KNIGHT PRESIDENT/MDCCCXXXVI’ in raised lettering around bust. ‘WWVON R.A.’ in small raised letters under bust. Raised decorative wreath of leaves and flowers on reverse. ‘THE ROYAL/HORTICULTURAL/SOCIETY/TO THE/GOVERNMENT OF /WESTERN AUSTRALIA/FOR/APPLES, PEARS & GRAPES/JUNE 11, 1908’ engraved inside wreath on reverse.
[.2] Square, black, textured paper(?) covered, wooden box with flat lid and indented border around edge. Metal hinge along back and a small cylindrical metal press button at front connected to a latch inside. Inside bottom of box covered in dark blue velvet(?) material with circular indentation for medal. Small, dark blue, frayed ribbon fastened to edge of indentation to allow medal to be removed. Inside lid slightly padded and covered with cream, satin(?) material. ‘JOHN/PINCHES/LONDON’ printed in black inside printed diamond inside lid.
