BROOCH, carved pearl shell, Caris Bros, with box

Pearlshell brooch with box.
[.1] Carved, pansy shaped, pearl shell brooch with small round blister pearl in centre and two small carved leaves at bottom. 15 carat gold back-plate, with seven gold claws around edge holding pearl in place. Thin, round, pointed metal pin attached to hinge on right side of back-plate, secured in place on left with metal ‘C’ clasp. Small semi-circular metal piece extends out from bottom of back-plate. ‘CARIS’ and ‘15CT’ stamped into top of back-plate.
[.2] Small, square, wooden box with textured black paper(?) covering and slightly domed lid. Gold coloured inlay around edges on top of lid. Metal hinge along back and a small cylindrical metal press button at front connected to a latch inside. Dark navy blue velvet(?) material inside bottom of box. Lightly padded, cream coloured, satin(?) material inside of lid. ‘Caris Bros./Diamond Merchants/Jewellers & Silversmiths/Perth/WA.’ printed inside lid in black cursive.
