BADGE, MOTHERS AND WIDOWS OF DECEASED SOLDIERS

Black ribbon embroidered with "FOR / AUSTRALIA" beneath an Australian Military Forces general service badge between sprays of wattle. The embroidery is in gold except for parts of the badge which are either white or blue. The top of the ribbon threads through a white metal suspension bar with a brooch pin on the back. This bar has the number "23878" stamped into the back of it and a floral pattern engraved into the front of it. The bottom of the ribbon threads through a white metal clasp with a brass seven pointed star attached to it.
