White. Short sleeves, boat neck gathered around entire waist. Opening at back fastening with drawstrings at waist and neck & hook & eye centre of bodice. "V" panel of embroidery on bodice front, consisting of alternating bands of broderie anglaise and coral stitch, side panels of broderie anglaise and broderie anglaise flounce around edge of panel and extending around back of neck. Sleeves made up of two bands of broderie anglaise. Piping around waist and where sleeve joins garment. 22cm band of broderie anglaise on skirt with scalloped edge. Tuck appears to have been let out of top of skirt at some stage. Open side seams on skirt, french side seams on bodice. All hand sewn. SUBFILE conservation report
