LONG ROBE, baby's

CH1980.357

White, short bodice. Very short sleeves, boat neck. Open at back, fastening at "waist" and neck with drawstrings plus two mother-of-pearl buttons in between. Bodice decorated with V-panel comprised of bands of broderie anglaise alternating with flounce which extends from "waist" over shoulders to opening at back. Tiny sleeves extending from neckline, with lace border and broderie anglaise flounce. The flounce attached with back stitch. Waistband also decorated with back stitch. Skirt gathered at waistband (hand stroked). 13 tucks at bottom of skirt. All hand sewn.
