Bodice, white twilled silk, low wide neckline bordered with panel of pleats, deeply pointed waist. Upper sleeves trimmed with pleats and ruching, puffed above elbow and gathered by pleats into cuff. Lined throughout with white calico; boned with horn?; hand-sewn throughout. Closed at back with 8 hooks and button- hole eyes. Cf. Boans costume CH81/90. Ross Schmidt acquired the bodic about 1974 from the "Brass Bed Shop ", Perth.
