Scalloped edge. Green painted border over the glaze. Pattern of flower in blue, pink, green and yellow over the glaze on rim. Central pattern Indian Tree - same colours. Heavy white glaze. Mark on base: "COPELAND \ (crown)" impressed. Also impressed "L \ 79" This may be a date year i.e. 1879. Nairn no. 77. Identified as c. 1880 Ref. Godden, Encyclopaedia, (1964) page 171 nos. 1072 & 1075.
