a. Cup. Clear glaze, although slight bluish tinge. Gilded band on foot, base bowl, handle and rim. Groups of flowers painted over the glaze on outside, thr individual flowers repeated on inside. Predom pink, green, orange and blue. Printed mark on base "(crown) \ COPELAND AND GARRETT" (in circle) with pattern number "7305 \ H" in centre. Saucer. Matches a. Very pale pink wash as background around edge. Gilded rim a central cup rest. Printed mark on base in under-glaze blue-green "(crown) \ (wreath around) "COPELAND AND GARRETT" (in circle) with pattern number as a. Ref. Godden, Encyclopaedia, page 173, number 1091. Nairn number C \ 13.
