Painted band at edge in pale brown and black. Large flowers in centre orange, yellow, red, green, outlined in black. Colours added over the glaze. Mark on base in u \ glaze black "BROWNFIELD & SONS \ (2 overlapping globes of world) with TRADE MARK \ TEXAS." Impressed mark "Ivory". Wm Brownfield & Sons, Staffordshire, 1850-91. Mark for 1871-91. Nairn No. 74. Ref Godden, encyclopaedia 1964 , page 110, no. 666.
