MESS JACKET, Summer

W1977.5

White heavy cotton mess jacket stiffened down front lapels. Two badges on epaulettes: Crown / pip Lieutenant Colonel rank and "TRIA JUNCTA IN UNO". Peaked cuffs. Jacket cut to peak at back at back and front. Fitted style, about 1930s. Colonel Ronald Ireland acquired the jacket although it was possibly not worn by him. Label inside right-hand lapel: "C.G.C.F." & "REGIMENTAL No ... / NAME IRELAND". Number "C487" inside neck.
