MESS UNIFORM - R.A.F.

Royal Air Force.
a. Jacket - grey-blue, short waist-length, peaked front and back. Fastens with single stud button, 6 brass buttons simulate double-breasted style. (Crown) eagle in flight. Black, peaked lapels. Single row of gold braid 6mm wide, 9.2cm from writs. Lining of cream synthetic quilted in front. (Some small insect holes on shoulders, lapels frayed and worn).
b. Waistcoat - fabrice as (a). Deep neck with round lapels 2 hip pockets. Fastens with 4 brass buttons as (a) but smaller. Peaked in front. Lining as (a). Black back with matching back. "K. HANNAH" in ink.
c. Trousers - fabric as (a) legs have leather straps attached. Front fastening of 5 buttons and hook. Back of waist rises to 2 peaks. In ink at back waistband: "K. HANNAH". 2 buttons attach braces inside back waistband and 2 on either rim of front opening outside. (b and c some small insect holds.)
d. Insignia - crown/outstretched wings and "R.A.F." with laurel wreath in centre.
