BROOCH, Tektite and gold
H2016.7
Oval metal brooch with central raised oval shaped black coloured tektite - glass formed when a meteorite hits the Earth. Tektite surrounded by fine twisted gold rope-like detailing and flat metal outer border with copper-coloured appearance. Back has a pin clasp and small gold coloured safety chain with gold-coloured safety pin at end.
Marking scratched on back of brooch - possibly a maker's mark - 'DR 1576'
