NEEDLEWORK BASKET

Wicker sewing basket, natural colour, with faded light green ribbon for hinges. Decorative metal handle on lid and a clasp of metal with a rotating fastener on the front of the basket. Dora did her nurses training in the north of England before migrating to Australia. Dora nursed at Fairbridge. Married Frederick Firnstone, Merchant Navy. They worked a farm outside Sydney.
