Small, oblong, yellowed, paper, Commonwealth of Australia, 1947 issue, ‘Ray F Shaw’, Meat Ration Card. Uneven shaped, due to removal (cut off) of two tickets ‘89’ and ‘90’ from bottom of ration card. Text reads ‘COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA/ MEAT RATION CARD/ 1947 ISSUE Rg. D.1/ Issued to Name Ray F Shaw/ Address Leake St/ No 261362/ Belmont W’. Name and address, hand written, cursive, blue ink, other text in black print. 14 Ration tickets in total, separated into two lines, with two missing from bottom row (as above). Tickets read ‘MEAT/91 [numbers range chronologically from 91-104]/ - 1947 – ‘. Appears to have been more tickets at bottom of card, since used/removed. Darker grains of paper visible. Reverse reads ‘If this RATION CARD is found it must be returned/ at once to / THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF RATIONING/ PERTH./ All enquiries and comments regarding rationing should be/ addressed to the Deputy Director of Rationing.’ Tickets have ‘M’ on reverse, text between rows of tickets reads ‘WXA12345678’. Shadowed, vertical lines visible through paper, not seen on obverse. Some creases to card.
