Small, rectangular, cream with ‘Deutsches Reich’ coat of arms watermark background, ‘Reife: Brotmarke’, World War One, travelling German Bread Ration Ticket. Main body of ticket reads ‘Deutsches Reich/ Reife: Brotmarke/ 40 Gramm Gebäck/ 62100 108x4’, repeated twice down body of ticket, lower ticket replaces ‘108x4’ with ‘108x5’. Black, gothic font, with ‘108x4’/ ‘108x5’ in red print. Bordered left of centre by red and black blocks of colour, interspersed with ‘Deutsches Reich’ coat of arms. Left edge of ticket bordered by vertical text; ‘108x8 Deutsches Reich/ Reife Brotmarke, 10g Gebäck/ 62100’, repeated twice. Very small part of right corner folded over. Paper discoloured due to age.Small tear in upper left corner, quarter folds through ticket.
