12 inch rectangular brown wooden ruler with a flat top and 45 degree sloping face on which the measurements are marked in inches. 8mm diameter hole cut into left hand end. Flat top of ruler cut on slight angle underneath towards base in same direction as sloping face. Printed in black on flat top: ‘A GOOD/FOOT RULE: USE “KIWI” Boot Polish EVERY MORNING’. Marked in small writing: ‘RULE MADE IN U.S.A.’. Printed in black on back: '”KIWI Black GIVES A QUICK/and LASTING SHINE'. 5 wavy lines are printed next to ‘QUICK’. Printed to the right of the writing is a kiwi bird standing on grass and ‘The “KIWI” TRADEMARK’. Black National Trust number, '83/52', marked on back.
