LABEL, Mills & Wares

H1993.236

Paper label from a biscuit tin. Gum appears to still be intact on the label so I am unsure whether this particular label has been used. Label is red, black and gold with the red forming the background of a seal. Across the centre is a white section with diagonal gold stripes and the words "Mills & Ware's" in red ornate printing shadowed in black. All of the other printing is in gold with the exception of the word "Biscuits" which is in white and outlined in gold. All printing with the exception of the brand name appears on a red back ground. The text is as follows: "THIS TIN CONTAINS A / POPULAR VARIETY OF / Mills & Ware's / SELECTED SWEET / BISCUITS".
