BISCUIT TIN, 'Mills & Ware'
H1993.13
Square shaped metal biscuit tin with detachable lid and pasted paper sides, top & base. Lid depicts an elegant two-storey residence with sweeping drive and English type gardens with a statue and hedge. In the foreground is a jumble of assorted biscuits. Two read 'PLEASURE ASSORTED/CREAM BISCUITS', the others (torn but probably 'Mills & Ware)/BISCUIT MANUFACTURERS/FREMANTLE WESTERN AUSTRALIA', and at each corner within a frame, a picture of a boat near a tropical island. THe base paper is plain. Inside is a square of Christmas wrapping paper as a lining.
