A. Assortment of over 100 paper and cardboard patterns for leather work, principally saddlery, although shoe patterns and riding boot patterns included. Many patterns cut from other objects, e.g. cardboard calendar, advertisment, writing paper. Includes very large patterns made from a waxed, reinforced paper or synthetic polymer. A large piece of waxed paper used for one pattern still bears a label 'WILLIAMS & WOOD / PERTH / FROM SLAZENGER / MAKERS OF THE WORLDS FINEST / SPORTING EQUIPMENT'. Invoice number and packing slip number included. B. Assortment of about 50 metal patterns or templates for leather work cut from galvanised iron. C. Assortment of over 100 leather patterns or templates, leather offcuts and trimmings. Some of the pieces appear to have been removed from complete articles, with stitching still evident, and in places studs or marks where studs have been removed. Several have pencil writing on them, others have texta inscriptions including 'MONEY BAG' and 'REVOLVER HOLSTER'. D. Four bundles of leatherwork patterns, principally cardboard, bound with string. E. Needle, pushed into folded paper. String threaded through eye is inserted in hole in paper. Paper very browned, needle rusted. F. Paper bag containing folded blue cloth, cotton or similar. Paper bag is white, decorated with red diamond shapes. It is torn down the centre of one side almost its entire length. G. Rolled strip of hessian bound with string. May have been piping cord for decorative piping. A very deteriorated tin labelled 'RAT DEATH' was amongst the patterns but was discarded. Patterns were part of the Morrison Saddlery collection from Albany.
