Former Kalgoorlie Mining Associates property. Plastic bag with orange piece of paper reading "`SURE-FIT' / GENUINE LEATHER / CLIP-ON / STALLS / (WITH ADJUSTABLE ELASTIC & NEAT METAL / FASTENER) CONTENTS 10 - LARGE / A DORMAY PRODUCT". The staff itself is a leather pouch which fits over finger and is secured by elastic and metal strap. As conditions underground are unhygienic, superficial cuts need physical barrier from dirt. Leather is probably preferable because of the damp conditions.
