This collection of letters is held together with string through punched holes along the edge, and is kept in a brown cardboard folder with 'Picnic Correspondence / 1951' written on the front in ink. Inside there is an assortment of letters, all relating to the annual Waterside Workers Federation picnic, this time was for 1951. The letters include those from the W.A. Athletic League, Bell Brothers, Emu Brewery, Hoyts Cinema in Fremantle, The Mayor and Mayoress of Fremantle, Swan Brewery, Mr. Watson and others. These letters were relating to invitations issued to various people for the picnic, or requests for donations, and acknowledgement of donations.
