CATALOGUE Singer Sewing Machine

Sewing machine catalogue which contains a picture and a short description of each machine. The cover of the catalogue has a bottle green background with details in red, light green and black. There is a three sided decorative border which consists of roses and clover on the left and right sides. A thistle design is in the third border at the top. A decorative plaque is centered between the three borders with the following words in it; "SINGER / SEWING MACHINES / FOR FAMILY USE". Incorporated in the plaques design is a ring. In the ring there is a solid red letter "S". The S is outlined in black and has the following words within it; "SINGER * SEWING * MACHINES" The S is wrapped around a line drawing of a woman sewing with a machine. Under the plaque in a light green elongated oval shape are the words: "Agents in every town in / Australasia". On the back of the catalogue in the centre is a solid red oval outlined with two black lines. Within the oval is the Singer trademark. It consists of a piece of cotton looped into an s shape, a cotton reel and two crossed needles. There is a line of flowers in the oval as well as the following words; "THE SINGER MANFG. CO. / TRADE MARK". On the left of the oval is the word "TRADE" and on the right side the word "MARK". Above the oval is the following print: "THIS TRADE MARK APPEARS ON EVERY / SINGER SEWING MACHINE". Below the red oval is the following: "SINGER MACHINES ARE SOLD ONLY BY / SINGER SEWING MACHINE COMPANY". The paper inside the catalogue is waxy with a very faint imprint of a decorative border. Details inside the catalogue include information on where the machines are made, main distributing centres price lists and hints. Also included are pictures and details of the following machine types: (all are preceded by 'Singer Machine No.') 28K, "66", 9W, 15K, 31K, 12W and 29K.
