Two squat cylindrical wooden containers. (a) Lid detaches to reveal bowl shaped inner. Lid bears circular paper label with yellow & red backgroun and the words: "BEECHAM'S PATENT PILLS / PRICE 1s.Od. / Sold by the Proprieto / ST HELENS / LANCASHIRE, ENGLAND / BEECHAMS PILLS / MELBOURNE. VIC". Side label covers entire side of container - broken where lid has been detached. Bears words in oval plaque: "BEECHAMS * ST.HELENS O LANCASHIRE / PATENT PILLS Label printed in geometric design in black & red. Bears serial No.D64. (b) a for (a) except label on lid appears to be of more modern design minus price. Side label same as (a) except words in oval plaque red: "BEECHAMS * MELBOURNE VICTORIA * BEECHAMS PILLS".
