UNION CARD, Plumber

Yellow union card for the Plumbers and Gasfitters Employees' Union of Australia. On the front is the logo of the union, a cauldron with different tools suspended above it, with the name of the union in a circle around it. Above this "R. PEET" is written in blue biro. On the left top is the word "PLUMBER" in red with "MY / UNION CARD / Must Be Shown / on Demand" below it. Underneath this is "No. W3805" with the latter written in blue biro. Then there is "Name........" but no name has been filled in. Under the dotted line is "MEMBER MUST SIGN THIS CARD / TO GUARD AGAINST MISUSE". Below this is "Not Good After 30 Sept. 1989/ O.K. SECOND QUARTER". On the back of the card is the following "Plumbers & Gasfitters Employees' / Union of Australia / Western Australia Branch / 328-7563 328-7563 / OK / 2nd QUARTER / 1989 / JULY, AUGUST, SEPTEMBER / ALWAYS CARRY THIS CARD / MUST BE SHOWN ON DEMAND". A receipt is stapled to the back of the card. The information on it is as follows "P.&G.E.U. of A. RA 16623 / WA Branch / Date 14 4 89 / Received from / Mr R Peet No 3805 / the sum of one hundred and four dollars / sixty cents / on account of dues. / $104-60" signature "Receiver" Another signature. In the background of the receipt the following is printed in red ink. "Head Office Trades Hall / Melbourne Victoria", then the logo of the union. Below this is "UNION LABEL" with "PAINTING TRADES" in a map of Australia. Then "G P? CRAWFORD" is printed along the line where the receiver has to sign, and has a signature over the top of it.
