Former Kalgoorlie Mining Associates property. Green cardboard suitcase with transfer on cover; "PURETHA / Gas Mask / PATENTED / SIEBE GORMAN & Co., / Ltd., / MAKERS OF / SMOKE ..... GAS MASKS / OXYGEN BREATHING APPARATUS / MINE RESCUE APPARATUS / SAFETY PROTECTIVE &|Contains 2 rubber masks, canvas card. No canister is present in this kit. There is instruction card pinned to underside of case lid which illustrate how masks is used. This kit has parts of the same components as H89.760, but H89.760 has the canister; and these instructions are strapped to canister: "`Puretha` Respirator All Service Type REMOVE BOTTOM SEAL BEFORE USING Suitable for use in Carbon Monoxide and other gases for a total period of two hours. A careful check of time should be kept and the canister replaced with a new one after two hours use. WARNINGS: Replace cap and seal after use. This apparatus is NOT TO BE USED IN STILL, TANKS, ENCLOSED PLACES or many circumstances where a concentration of gas is likely to be present. this respirator MUST NEVER BE USED IN AN ATMOSPHERE DEFICIENT IN OXYGEN.
