Former Kalgoorlie Mining Associates property. Canvas covered rubber bag with shoulder harness and mouth piece and small canister. Attached to oxygen tank with harness [to go round waist?] and gauges. Has: "`PROTO' (Reg'd) / MARK IV / PATENT / BREATHING APPARATUS / FOR USE WITH / `PROTOSORB' (Regd) / ONLY / HOME OFFICE APPROVAL / 1 FEB. 1938" on rubber bag. Oxygen tank reads: "Liquid Air". T78.123 is a `Proto' Mark IV harness and gas cylinder donated by Kalgoorlie Mining Associates and used in the Fimiston Mines until 1975. Tin of `Protosorb', H89.325 would have been used in conjunction with T78.123 and this object.
