Former Kalgoorlie Mining Associates property. Long thin vertical strip of canvas with leather support and triangular metal loop at top, strip divides into two smaller strips which end in buckles. Horizontal canvas strips extend from horizontal piece and terminate in leather belting. Straps at base of vertical strip pass between injured miner's legs and are buckled to two horizontal strips which fold across miner's waist and chest. The loop at the top is attached to a chain to allow the miner to be hauled to the surface in the harness.
